Miss Maple on The Daily Toki

June 8, 2011 § 21 Comments

When Christine from The Daily Toki approached us with an invitation to participate in an interview, we couldn’t resist! We were utterly flattered by the request—our first ever interview—and we were happy to oblige the beautiful Miss Toki.

If you haven’t already heard of The Daily Toki, then you absolutely should skip over there pronto! Not only are the photos of Toki captivating, but the stories behind them are just as entertaining and endearing. Christine also writes very informative product reviews and feature articles that are most definitely worth your while to check out.

Thanks again, Christine, for your very gracious review of Happy.Bark.Days! You have totally made our week and little Miss Maple, here, can’t stop beaming 😀

Congratulation! That’s definitely something to celebrate for! I’ve read through your interview on Miss Toki and I love it. Regarding coconut juice for furkids, I’ve seriously never thought of that. To think that I’m a Singaporean! Shall give some to Muffin this weekend if I can find some nice coconuts in the supermarts. Muffin wish to thank you in advance for his treats! And from me, thanks for introducing another great website! 🙂

  • raisingdaisy says:

Congratulations Miss Maple! I’m hopping over there right now to read your interview! Fame beckons…. 😉

  • raisingdaisy says:

Just read your interview – spectacular! I enjoyed every bit of it; lots of interesting insights into the Singapore culture. Well done! 🙂

  • Miss Maple, you’re a blogging star! Lovin’ your interview on The Daily Toki. 🙂

  • didiwright says:

Oh, that’s just so nice, no wonder little Miss is very pleased with herself. I do occasionally visit The Daily Toki and I quite like it myself. I’ll go and check out the interview. x

  • Kristen says:

So I could have sworn that I was subscribed to Maple’s blog, but after visiting here from The Daily Toki, I realized I wasn’t.

I have so much Maple to catch up on!

  • Anna says:

how cool! funny how we all seem to read some of the same blogs. Makes sense as I found yours through another dog blog.

  • furfilled says:

    Toki sends her mutual wags!

  • just read your interview. so you’re not a singapore native? i did wonder about miss maple’s full name 🙂 while i’m finding out more about you, is there a story to the fullstop after miss?

  • @ Muffin_mint: Thank you for being one of our very early readers of Happy.Bark.Days! We feel like we know Muffin so well now, yet we have still to meet him! As for coconuts, try the small ones from Thailand (I think they’re a little more palatable for our dogsters). Introduce coconut water in small quantities and avoid feeding when Muffin’s tummy is empty. We supply Maple with no more than 1 tablespoon of coconut water and that’s enough for her to get her fix! Let me know how it goes with Muffin 😀

@ Raising Daisy: I’m glad you discovered some new insights about Singapore! Hopefully my ultra lengthy prose didn’t make you nod off to sleep. I was a little concerned about writing too much about nothing at all! Appreciate your enthusiasm 😀

@ Oscar & Pauline: Uh-oh, I think you might have just boosted Maple’s ego by a notch! She’s already the spoiled princess in the house—now she’ll think she’s a spoiled celebrity princess 😉

@ Didi: Thanks, Didi! You’ve been so sharing about the blogger behind My Little Dog, and I always enjoy getting to know the offline personalities of others. It was about time I did some opening-up of my own with the help of The Daily Toki 😀

@ Kristen: No worries! You haven’t miss much—Miss Maple is the same rascally furball that we’ve known since day 1 😉 If anything changes, I’ll be sure to update the blog with a super post!

@ Anna: I know! The blogosphere is massive, yet us dog bloggers seem to attract one another like magnets. Glad to have your blogs on our subscription list!

@ Furfilled (The Daily Toki): LOL…wags, woofs, and licks right back at ya, Toki!

@ Georgia Little Pea: Yup, I’m a true-blue ‘Canuck’. My husband, though, is Singaporean. So, I guess that makes me a quasi-Singaporean? As for the fullstop after Miss, sometimes it’s there sometimes it isn’t. I never thought about it until now, and I’ve come to realize it’s a grammatical error the way I’ve been doing it! So, without further adieu, I’m going to revise the subtitle of this blog 😉 Thanks for your sharp eye!

    • OH! and here i was thinking there might be a wonderful story to it! 🙂

      • LOL, sorry to disappoint! There is, however, a meaning behind the fullstops in the text form of Happy.Bark.Days—they’re meant to represent little pawprints, like the ones you see in the blog header. The only thing is, you’ll need to a super magnifying glass to view them 😉

  • Anny says:

Err.. just don’t bark real loud on them mike Maple… it might make your hooman jump outta them skin.. hehehehe

  • Kame says:

    Congratulation Miss Maple 🙂
You are the prettiest poodle we have ever seen

  • yuki the dog says:

congrats maple, my mom read the article…wow, i think you might become a celebrity!

  • @ Anny: Maple has a pretty high-pitched bark. Some would call it a tad shrilly. Yes, we will definitely need to whip out those earplugs if Maple doesn’t watch her volume! 😯

@ Kame: Thanks, Kame! You and your sis, Kroten, are turtle celebrities. Time to ask your mom for a pay raise 😉

@ Kas: Aw, shucks, thanks! Maple can’t get enough of all these compliments 😀

@ Yuki: LOL, Maple is already a mini celebrity and a favourite amongst our family members. I don’t know what would happen if this were to go beyond that! 😉

  • It was a fabulous interview!

  • […] Ms. Maple was on the Daily Toki! […]

  • Congrats! What a great moment : ) Keep struttin’ your stuff Maple!

  • @ According to Gus: Thanks—hopefully we haven’t given away too much of our blogger ‘mystique’ 😉

@ Mine Are Better: Thank you for the linky on “Things I Love Thursday”! What a neat idea—we’ll be checking out your list of great finds 😀

@ Just Ramblin’ Pier: Oh yes, Maple has a funny little swagger and hop when she is struttin’. Glad to hear that it is keeping others entertained (LOL)!
