Gone With The Wind

April 29, 2012 § 12 Comments

We have been bewitched by the spell of Summer. On some days, the heat can be rather overwhelming. On other days, the sunshine is all too tempting. On this particular sunny morning, we donned our shades for a leisurely stroll in the Central Business District. It didn’t take too long for MM and I to break out into a sweat, and we could only imagine how toasty warm Lil’ Miss Maple must have felt under that coat of hers.

We took a breather in a shady spot and were pleasantly surprised by the cross winds that channelled through—it was such a lovely respite from the sun. Miss Maple couldn’t have been happier as she splayed out on the cool concrete slabs and quenched her thirst with fresh water while her ears flapped in the wind. Come rain or shine, Miss Maple finds something delightful in the everyday. I think that’s a beautiful attitude that we, humans, can certainly learn to acquire!

The wind must be very strong to blow up maple’s ear!! I am back for a week but sick for almost 3-4days! The HOt humid weather PLUS all the yummmy sinful food is killing me!

That is how TOto will stretch out and with his tongue hanging out on his water stop too! Kekeke and we have exactly the same water bowl in beigy brown!

    • Yes, it has suddenly become VERY hot! I’ve been gulping more than the recommended 8 glasses of water on a daily basis. Enjoy all the yummy local food, but be sure to stay hydrated (lol)!

We were a bit concerned at first that Maple was being fussy about her water dish because she insisted on tipping it over instead of drinking out of it. But now, she’s really good with it and it has become her ‘water stop’ as you say 😀

Great pictures and wonderful quotes! The first three round pictures with the fan are especially good – very creative!

  • Miss Maple is just adorable and looks very satisfied with her blowing hair. Love the pictures and especially the quotes. A great reminder to us humans to make the best of what we receive from Mother Nature!

    • Absolutely! There’s so much of Mother Nature that we often take for granted. Our pups, on the other hand, never complain—they know how to enjoy all of life’s little pleasures.

MM we are always looking for the zippers to our fur when it gets really hot outside. Let us know if you locate yours. Since we are poodles too ours might be in the same area.
